ANDRITZ-led consortium wins Malaysian hydropower contract

Hydro Review has reported that ANDRITZ, as part of a consortium, has signed a contract to supply electro-and hydro-mechanical equipment to the Nenggiri Hydroelectric Project in Malaysia.

The 300-MW Nenggiri Hydroelectric Project is based in Kelantan, the northeastern state of the Malay Peninsula.

The scope of supply includes two Francis turbine-generating units, including complete mechanical and electrical balance of plant and hydro-mechanical equipment, as well as the high-voltage switchyard.

The contract value for ANDRITZ is more than €100 million ($113 million). The other members of the consortium were not named in the press release.
